There will be a Corvette only class Wednesday night (October 29th) at Infineon Raceway. This will be the final Wednesday night race of the year and it should be a fun filled evening. To keep the playing field even, DOT tires only and NO Drag racing slicks. Treaded drag radials will be allowed. Back in July, we had 54 Corvettes entered so it is going to be a real challenge to top those numbers on such short notice. We will try to get you 2 lanes for yourselves. Please help spread the word via any forums that you have access to and help get the word out.
Gates open: 3 PM
Time runs: 3:45 PM (depending on how soon the Russell Driving School gets done)
Eliminations: 6:45 PM
Helmets required for any car quicker than 14.00 flat Roll bar required for any car quicker than 11.50 (13.50 for Convertibles)
As a closing reminder, Infineon Raceway is conducting its yearly food drive to help the needy over the Thanksgiving holiday. You can help by bringing 4 or more non perishable food items and leave them at the front gate with Vicky Glenn when you enter. The need has never been greater and in return you will be given a $10.00 voucher which will be good towards any general admission to any Wednesday night drag race in the 2009 season.
NCCA member Mike Emerson (510-919-5600) will be leading a group up to Infineon Raceway for the races. They will be leaving the Greenhouse Marketplace in San Leandro at 2:30 PM that day.
